Your Shirt Purchase Can Help Save Her Life

I did not get around to pre-selecting a rescue organization to support for the month of July. I'm not sure why, until now. Now I know why. It's because Amora was going to need us.

Meet Amora:
Amora was found as a stray on July 23rd, 2019 and Dallas DogRRR was immediately called for their support.
Dallas DogRRR is a non-profit that takes on so many cases like this and so immediately they started raising funds for her medical care.
This is the worst case I have ever seen. I am only posting these two photos because the rest are too graphic for most people to handle.
She is positively covered in ticks and bugs of all kinds.

Once I saw her I knew, she is our mission this month. So a percentage of sales from July and August are going to go straight to her care.

15% Of New Dog Lover Shirts!

Our new collection of fall items has launched. Although more will probably trickle in through the next month or so, this is the bulk of it.
I hope you love it! I ADORE cold weather so I can sometimes go crazy over long sleeves and sweatshirts!
I am going to Colorado next week for a friend's baby shower, so shipping will be put on hold for September 8th-15th. Then orders placed during that time will go out on the 17th.

My mom and dad will be dog sitting my two, plus their two, plus the three foster nuggets! So to make things easier on her, we are holding orders during that time.

To make up for it, we are offering 15% off everything with code PUPPIES during that time, you can use this code on:
Or

Thank you for your support and understanding!

Adoption Time!

I can't believe it is time to get my babies adopted! Time flies and yet when picking up poop from my living room carpet, time also seems to not fly by.

We bottle fed these babies after getting them at 9 days old and so I am particularly attached to them and can hardly keep it together when thinking of saying goodbye.

Fostering saves lives you guys. Please try to do it at least once.
These pups had no where to go and the shelter needed to make space. They were on the list.
You can find their adoption information here:
Their names are Baker, Panda and Hershey Kisses

No Rescue For August

Happy almost August! It's officially time to prepare to look forward to fall! Ha! This is how I get through the summer. Always look forward to fall!

So many of you know that about two weeks ago we spontaneously took in three foster bottle babies from our local animal shelter. They came to us 9 days old. I have been up every night, every 3-4 hours feeding them ever since. I'm very tired, but their puppy breath and soft kisses help tremendously.

All that to say, we heard about these babes from Country Roads Animal Rescue Society, but I do not like to take resources from rescues or animal shelters because they have so many other needs they need to meet.

Foster Babies are our Rescue!

A Christmas Rescue Story

The word “rescue” means something different to me now than it did even a few years ago. I used to associate it with the fire department, life guarding or a “search and rescue” team. Now when I hear the word “rescue” I picture an emaciated puppy, or a senior dog that got “too old” and I see the looks on their faces and the drastic ways their lives change after they are “rescued”. I can’t help but draw the parallel between that life change and what changed when Christ came into the world to rescue us, his children.

That is the entire purpose of Christmas, Christ’s birth. And the entire purpose of Christ’s birth is to ultimately lead to his death to rescue us from our own sins (our selfishness, our hate, our prejudice, our pride, our deceitfulness). Because just like that emaciated dog, we can’t rescue ourselves. We need a Savior.

Luke 2:11 : “For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.”

The definition of Savior: a person who saves, rescues, delivers. Christmas is about our Rescuer, coming to earth, to rescue us. I love thinking about the word “rescue” this way because it is something my heart fully understands and comprehends. If my heart breaks for these dogs I see in shelters, and I want nothing more than to do everything I can to save them, to help them, to love them, to rescue them from their present situation, how much more does my Rescuer want to reach out to me this Christmas?

Merry Christmas friends! ❤️🐾

Fetch Fido A Flight- A Life Saving Dog Rescue Flight

I had the privilege of witnessing a life saving flight for 49 dogs who needed to be rescued from death row. Oklahoma has a tremendous problem with pet overpopulation and because of that, we have too many incredible dogs and companion animals being euthanized every day.

Thankfully, we have people like Vikki Smith who have taken on the crisis and decided to do something about it. She organized Fetch Fido A Flight which works with Wings of Rescue to fly at risk dogs out of Oklahoma to more adoptable places in the United States. Many of these places are in the Northwest and they literally have waiting lists of people wanting to adopt dogs. I can't imagine!

When I started Treat Dreams, I wanted to be able to help in some way. It took me a few years in business to get things figured out and I realized  if I was able to create more profit in my items I sold, I could give a percentage to different rescues throughout the country and get to be a part of some amazing work that people are doing.

So, that is how I got to be a part of Fetch Fido A Flight and see the flight actually take place. We gave 10% of our sales from Treat Dreams to Fetch Fido A Flight for the months of April and May.

Here are some pictures that I took from that day. The flight has to be loaded and take off early so we can avoid this horrid Oklahoma heat. So we started at 5:30! Eek!!
