My Peanut Butter Dog Birthday Cake Recipe

This is our absolute favorite doggie cake recipe! We can't even keep this in the house because Molly smells it from anywhere and won't stop barking for it. Even in the fridge, she situates herself in front of the fridge and barks for cake.

You can make this in any cake pan that you want to but I use a bundt cake pan because it turns out so cute without having to do anything to it. So if you don't want to ice it or decorate it, it's perfect and pretty just plain.

You can also make it however you want to. I have made it without enough flour, and without honey. It was pretty much just eggs and peanut butter but the good thing about dogs is they aren't that picky so they still loved

Cake Recipe
1 Egg
1/4 Cup Cooking Oil (I use olive oil)
1/4 Cup Peanut Butter (make sure your peanut butter is free of Xylitol, it's poisonous to dogs)
1 TSP Vanilla
1/4 Cup Honey
2 TSP Cinnamon
1 Cup Flour
1 TSP Baking Soda
1/2 Cup Water

Preheat Oven to 350 degrees.
Grease bundt pan.

Mix flour, soda and cinnamon together in a bowl. Add all other ingredients to the flour mixture. Beat until smooth.
Place greased bundt pan on cookie sheet.
Bake for 20 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
Turn upside down on cooling rack to cool.

Frosting can be a combination of many things. Sometimes I mix yogurt and peanut butter, sometimes I add some cream cheese, but today I simply used peanut butter.

In order to decorate with the peanut butter, I used a ziplock bag to mimic a cake directing bag. I cut the tip of the corner and squeezed the peanut butter out on the cake.

I know that many people are afraid to use sprinkles but I have researched and found that as long as sugar and artificial dye coloring are not a part of the dogs every day diet, it is perfectly safe for them to consume from time to time in small amounts. However if you have any concern at all because of your dog's specific diet, please either consult your veterinarian or simply avoid using them.
If you do use them, make sure they DO NOT CONTAIN XYLITOL. Check the ingredients list, it's very poisonous to dogs.

Be sure to tag me, @treatdreams in any pictures you take of this recipe for your dogs! And good luck not tasting a bit for yourself because it smells sooooo yummy!

  1. Writing on any subject is not an easy task, when you write on any subject it is very difficult. Anyone who thinks that he will write something easily on any subject, then his thinking is very wrong, I do not know that perhaps those people will have to put so much mind. Whatever you have written in your post, it has been written very beautifully, you are a person writing a good post, the more you are praised, the less it is.
